… Had I been the audience, Teodor Nicolau would have won with his “Fairy Tale for a Duo”, a true duo of equals telling a splendidly spooky tale with a broad palette of colours. It is well played and well worth playing. The recorded sound is forward and vivid.

Yleisöäänestyksen voitti romanialais-suomalainen viulisti-säveltäjä Teodor Nicolau teoksellaan Mioritic Roots, mikä ei ollut yllätys. Teos on estottoman viihteellinen ja pursuaa tunnetta tihkuvia romanialaisia sävelkulkuja, viulujen villejä taiturileikkejä ja mahtipontisesti pauhaavia rytmejä.

…”Ilahduttavaa oli yleisön suuri mielenkiinto ja innostus. Kuvaavaa oli, että romanialais-suomalaisen Teodor Nicolaun “Mioritic Roots” voitti yleisöäänestyksen. Romanialaissävyinen, villin virtuoosinen ja pateettisesti räiskyvä teos vetosi yleisön tunteisiin. Yleisö haluaa tulla liikutetuksi.
